Channel lock pliers
Pliers are basically two blades joined together at a fulcrum. The set up allows for a strong hand grip with a mechanical advantage. The tip of the pliers is constructed such that it can hold objects firmly and can be used for cutting or bending hard objects. Different designs make pliers for specific purposes. Needle nosed pliers are long and narrow and is useful for gripping in small spaces. Another kind of pliers oftentimes referred to as Channel lock pliers have adjustable jaw sizes that are designed to grip objects with various shape and sizes.
Channel lock is a brand of pliers that are made for different uses. Examples are a 12-inch V-Jaw tongue groove pliers, a 9½ inch V-Jaw tongue groove pliers and 1/2 inch high leverage linesman pliers. Channel Lock 908 is an 8 ¼ inch wiring tool that strips wire and cut a maximum wire gauge o 110 AWG. These tools are made of forged steel construction. Micro chrome finish keeps it free from rust. It is also fitted with texture handle that provides comfort and a firm grip.
