Living in the city, I have never seen a blacksmith. I have often wondered if the jewelry repairman at the nearby jewelry store was considered a blacksmith. There are certain blacksmith supplies that are needed in order for one to be considered a blacksmith. A pair of pliers obviously is not enough. A blacksmith requires machineries as well as tools; He will also need hammers, chisels and mallets.

A blacksmith is someone who creates and molds things using steel and iron. He uses his blacksmith supplies and tools to create grills, fences, gates, steel or iron furnishings and many more. He works by melting the steel and iron and moulds them to create beautiful and functional pieces. Most of the outdoor furniture found in our garden are done by blacksmiths. We are not aware of how they came about because we have gotten used to buying them at home and house ware stores.
