Belt sanders

Sand down wood and other materials to get perfect finishes. Belt sanders are machines needed to do these jobs. They consist of electrical motors that turn a pair of drums where a seamless loop of sandpaper is attached. Belt sanders can be hand-held or stationary.

They can vary in size from small hand-held units to those big enough to sand a very wide piece of plywood. These machines are normally used for the beginning stages of the sanding process. They rapidly remove excess material as well as paints or finishes from woods that are being restored. A belt sander that is fitted with fine grit sand paper will give you completely smooth surfaces.
