Ways to Clean Artificial Silk Compositions

Silk flowers are a practical way of adding some color to our homes. Even just a pot of foliage can perk up a side table. What more, hanging silk flowers. It will surely be an attraction on the porch or by the window. Silk trees and flowers are very much welcome by people who lack the time and know-how to grow living plants.

My only problem with silk flowers is that they quickly build up dust. But I learned of several ways to do a quick clean-up. Some “plants” can be disentangled and cleaned with soap and water. Smaller pieces may be placed in a brown paper with salt and shaken. The salt will remove the dust from the leaves and petals, leaving you with a beautiful plant. Big pieces may be gently vacuumed.
