I’m in the process of redecorating and remodeling our town house. I’ve decided I want a vintage feel to my new place. An architect once told me that having the right lighting fixture can totally change the look of a room. In places like the living room and dining room where people gather to eat and talk, lights that can go from bright to dim is ideal. In the bedroom, a table touch lamp is commonly used. I for one need my table touch lamp when I read my books every night.

A table touch lamp is fairly common. There are thousands of styles and shapes available. It is called a touch lamp because you don’t need a press a switch to turn it on or off. You merely have to touch the lamp to turn it on or off. Most table touch lamps even allow you at least 3 settings: the first touch turns the bulb on; the second makes it brighter and the third the brightest. When you touch it again it goes off.
