Lamps are always good to look at. They provide illumination as well as decorative appeal. But they will not stay that way without proper care. Tiffany lamps are made of opaque stained glass; they should be handled with care. The glass pieces as well as the metal lamp base and frame should be cleaned and polished with an oil based furniture polish.

Some tiffany products are made of beveled or transparent glass. Regular household cleaner may be applied with a soft cloth and wiped with gentle strokes. Fixtures hanging over cooking areas should be cleaned more frequently. They can accumulate heavy layers of greasy buildup. A lemon oil based furniture polish should always be applied after each clean-up.
