Make a cocktail party a big hit with your guests. Employ the services of a sommelier or wine steward for the night. This person is a trained a knowledgeable wine professional who usually works in fine restaurants. He specializes in all aspects of wine service as well as wine and food matching.

The role of a wine steward is more specialized and informed that that of a wine waiter. His principal work is in the area of wine procurement, storage, wine cellar rotation and to provide expert advice to customers. He may also be responsible for the development of wine lists and for the delivery of wine service and training for other restaurant staff.
