Before I gave birth, my husband and I went shopping for baby items. I was eight months pregnant when we went shopping. We looked at cribs, changing tables, strollers, bassinets, and play pens. We also looked at beddings, baby carriers, diapers, clothes, baby bags, bottles, and sterilizers. It was very tiring and stressful for me. I was carrying all the baby weight and there were so many decisions that had to be made.

We first bought the crib and the baby carrier. My mother told me that I would not need a changing table. She said I could use the crib as a changing table. After a month, I decided to get a changing table. A baby crib is usually low. For a new mom with a back problem, it was bit difficult for me to keep bending at the waist each time I had to change my baby’s diaper. I’m glad I bought the changing table, it had so many uses afterwards.
