Wood baby cribs

Furnishings like tables, chairs, cabinets and beds last for many years mainly because they are made of tough, heavy duty material. Many of them are made of wood. Wood comes from trees, is plentiful, and has many varieties. Some of the well-known and most preferred types are oak, pine, walnut, rosewood, beech, mahogany, chestnut, and rattan.

There are baby cribs that are made of wood. They are durable and reliable fixtures in most infants’ rooms that provide much needed comfort and protection to very young children. Wood baby cribs usually come with fitted mattresses and may or may not have movable sides and locks. Some have a smooth, natural finish which may be light or dark brown, while others have been touched up in popular infant colors such as white, pink, yellow, or blue. When opting for a painted crib, make sure to get one that used non-toxic, lead-free paint. This is a safety precaution as babies love to put things in their mouths and may possibly gnaw or bite on the sides of the crib.
