Studio apartments are notoriously tiny. When you look at model units, they seem to get smaller and smaller. The closets keep shrinking and this is not so practical for women who tend to collect clothes and shoes. An alternative would be to have a lingerie chest to keep your lingerie, shirts, pajamas and other clothing you can fold. You can save the closet space for formal dresses and shoes which you can place on shoe hanger organizers.

A lingerie chest is practical it can keep a lot of clothes aside from lingerie. They are not usually high so you can use the top of the chest to store linens, photos and even a clock. Chests come in different styles. There are those are made of modern heavy wood. My favorites are vintage lingerie chests which can be repainted.
