There are two reasons we use curtains. One use is as a cover-up. We hung curtains on glass windows and doors to keep harsh sunlight in. It also keeps peeking Toms from observing what is going on inside the home. Sometimes cheap curtains are used as partitions, to separate one space from another.

Another use of curtains is aesthetic. Hanging a curtain is one of the most practical and inexpensive ways of improving the look of a room. It helps create the mood that you are going after. Flimsy white curtains are relaxing. It connotes a spa feel. Others will prefer curtains in bright colors and bold design. They are summery and fun.
