Tab top curtains

For a less informal and modern look to window treatments, go for tab tops. This type of heading is hung from a curtain pole and can be added to both lined and unlined curtains. Tab top curtains can be made to match, contrast or coordinate with your chosen fabrics.

To make tabs which are 1.25 inches wide, cut strips of fabric 3 inches wide and twice the length required. Add four inches if the curtains are to hang 3 inches below the pole as the tabs need to be cut into 10 inches. Fold in half lengthways with the right sides together then machine stitch 0.25 inches in along the length. Turn inside out then press.
