Lighting Incense
Light incense properly to make sure you get the most out of it. A lit match or butane lighter will do. Hold the flame to either end of a spaghetti stick or the tapered/coated end of a cylinder for ten to fifteen seconds. Take the flame away. If everything is good, the incense will burn for a second or two then the flame will go out while the end continues to glow and slowly burn.
If the incense does not go out on its own and flames for more than twenty seconds, just blow the flame out. Place the incense on a secure incense burner. Incense is made of ingredients that burn at different rates so you have to give it at least half a minute before the true scent will start to come through.
