Feng shui gardens
Whether you reside in the city or in the country, a garden is a wonderful place to have. The greenery and the foliage radiate life and meaning, and bring tranquility to a hurried and chaotic existence. Feng shui gardens, in particular, are exceptional for their beauty and promise. If created and maintained as it should be, this type of garden is believed to bring good luck to the owner, most especially in his health, finances and personal relationships.
No matter how big or small, you can transform your patch into a relaxing sanctuary. Just keep in mind two important principles and you can’t go wrong. These are feng shui and ch’i. Feng shui is an ancient practice that originated in China and is all about how you position things. It helps people realize their dreams and brings harmony into their lives. Ch’i, on the other hand, is all about energy and how it flows. The word literally means “air”, though in martial arts, ch’i denotes physical or internal energy. Using feng shui in your garden boosts the flow of ch’i, which in turn, brings added peacefulness to a person and his surroundings. Remember too that ch’i needs to move freely at all times for harmony to exist and remain in your garden. If you plan to spend a lot of time in your garden communing with nature, consult a feng shui expert or read up on this ancient Chinese practice.
