Besides Mulan, the Disney film “Beauty and the Beast” lands in my children’s all-time favourite cartoon movies. Along with Belle and the Beast, the other characters that endeared my children to the movie include the adorable Chip, the teacup; Mrs. Potts, the teapot; Lumiere, the candelabra; and Cogsworth, the grandfather clock.

I find time to watch alongside my children to make sure that the film is worth watching over and over again. You know how kids are with Disney films they keep on watching the same film until they know every song and dialogues in every scene. Though I’ve seen Beauty and the Beast for so many times, I still enjoy the ballroom dance of Belle and Beast, and the spectacular “Be Our Guest” chorus of the palace’ magical creatures. I think that the constant heated exchange between Lumiere and Cogsworth adds wit and humor to the movie. While Mrs. Potts’ patience to Chip’s curiosity illustrates mother and child rapport that makes this film land in my favorites as well.
