Comforters are great to have as warmers or as room décor. We’d love to have them in all our bedrooms. But they are such a pain to wash. They are bulky and heavy and take a long time to wash and take longer to dry. If you bring them to the corner laundry, they will charge you a lot more that they would ordinary sheets.

That is why I decided to use duvet covers instead. A duvet is like a big pillow with a cover that is just as big. For my kids’ twin beds, I got each a duvet with matching twin duvet covers. They are easy to wash because there is no need to wash the filling. Just remove the cover and you will have sweet smelling sheets in no time at all.
