Down has always been the choice in comforters for the discriminating. It is the warmest insulator. Because it comes from nature is breathable and light. Many of these alternatives feel and look like original down. They are made of materials that match the characteristics of down which are warmth and comfort. Some are made of lamb wool that naturally repels dust mites; alpaca or llama wool is also an alternative option.
