duvet covers
The thread count of the material is important to note when purchasing a duvet cover. The thread count is the number of fibers in each square inch of material. Fabrics that have a higher thread count are softer and are often considered more comfortable than fabrics with lower thread counts.
Typical duvet covers made of any type of material have around 180to 200 thread counts. But these can be much higher, going up to around 400. Many experts believe though that it will already be hard to tell the difference in any thread count higher than 300. And since a higher thread count means a more expensive duvet cover, it is necessary for consumers to gauge how high the thread count they want for what price they can afford.
