Baby swings are a boon to parents. Babies are kept busy while mommy gets on with her numerous chores. However, parents should never be confident in leaving their babies in highchair baby swings. Some of the worst kinds of accidents occurred in supposedly safe baby swings. Many of these accidents result from incorrect usage. Baby swings should be set only in flat level surfaces. They should never be used on top of tables.

It is important that whatever mommy is doing, her baby in the swing should always be in view. Babies have been known to wiggle their way out of straps. Make sure to set him up in a place that is far from electrical outlets, blind cords and small appliances. Babies are naturally curious and will want to stick their little fingers into anything. It cannot be overemphasized…a harness should be used every time a baby is placed in a swing.
