Art is a funny thing. It can be trash or a masterpiece depending on who’s looking. Who is to judge on what is art? Is it the artist creator or the audience critic? That has been the question since the dawn of civilization. Once I’ve seen a painting by a monkey. Is the painting done with random strokes or is it an expression of monkey’s soul and therefore fall under abstract expressionism?

Abstract expressionism paintings or works can be best described by the laymen in the following phrase, “Heck, anybody can do that”. Who’s to say if the work was a creation and not a random accident? If you can sell it, it’s art. If not, it’s trash. To me, when I appreciate something and makes me think, it is art.
